Champions Trophy team of the tournament announced; no Pakistani selected

The Champions Trophy Team of the Tournament has been revealed, with no Pakistani player making the cut.

The squad features six Indian players, four from New Zealand, and two from Afghanistan, recognizing standout performances throughout the tournament.

New Zealand's Mitchell Santner has been named the captain of the team. India dominates the lineup with key players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer making it to the squad. New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Matt Henry also secured their spots.

From Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Umarzai earned selections for their impressive performances. India’s Mohammed Shami and Varun Chakraborty, along with New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips, also feature in the elite lineup.

Additionally, India’s Axar Patel has been picked as the 12th player of the team.
