On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) fined the Pakistan cricket team 10% of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate in the first One Day International (ODI) against New Zealand.
According to ICC regulations, teams must complete their allotted overs within a specified time frame. However, Pakistan fell short by two overs in the given time, resulting in the penalty.
As per ICC rules, a fine of 5% of the match fee is imposed for each over bowled beyond the allotted time, leading to a total 10% deduction from the players' earnings.
