Fast bowler acknowledges unwavering support of fans
Pakistan fast bowler, Haris Rauf, stated on Tuesday that the team’s primary goal was to entertain the crowd.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the revamped Karachi stadium, Rauf explained, “We always try to ensure that the fans leave the ground on a high note.”
He acknowledged the unwavering support of the fans, adding, “What we are is because of the immense support from the fans.”
It is pertinent to note that an injury had forced Rauf to leave the field during the tri-nation series opener against New Zealand.
Pakistan were due to face South Africa in the third match of the tri-nation series, with the winning team progressing to face New Zealand in the fourth and final match.
Pakistan were set to kick off their Champions Trophy campaign by taking on New Zealand on February 19.
