Mohammad Rizwan 'unhappy' with Multan pitch
Rizwan acknowledges Shakeel’s technique against spin
Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan seemed to be unhappy with Multan pitch following the end of day one in the first Test against the West Indies.
Addressing a press conference, the Pakistan white-ball captain said, "The pitch is quite tricky and provides help to the spinners. Such types of pitches will spoil the batting averages."
He believed that the match result can be obtained in three days, saying, "The match can be ended in three days if the fog does not interfere."
"This is not the pitch to score over 600 runs; however, whatever we will be able to post will be good," Rizwan added.
He acknowledged Shakeel's technique against the spin bowling, saying, "Saud plays in Karachi, and his technique against the spinners is good."
Recalling the Test series against South Africa, Rizwan said, "South Africa had taken the advantage by preparing the pitches at will."
Pakistan will start the second day of the first Test on 146-4, with Rizwan and Shakeel continuing the proceedings with the bat for the Green Shirts.
