Karachi Stadium construction update ahead of Champions Trophy battle

National Bank Stadium Karachi Project Director Bilal Chohan held a media briefing on the latest developments and confirmed that the civil work for the stadium has been completed 100 percent ahead of the historic ICC Men's Champion's Trophy 2025. 

Bilal Chohan said glass installation is underway, and lifts have been installed inside the building, with trials successfully conducted and the external lifts are expected to be finalized within two days.

Chohan also mentioned that the lights are scheduled to arrive tonight and will be operational within the next five days after clearing at the port.

Additionally, the screens are expected to reach Karachi by the 28th of January.

The frames for these screens are already prepared and will be installed soon. He also highlighted that three floors of the new building have been fully completed.
