The Team of the Tournament for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been unveiled, with Lahore Qalandars’ skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi appointed as captain after leading his team to a triumphant title win.
The lineup features a strong representation from across franchises — four players from Karachi Kings, and three each from Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators have made it to the elite squad.
Islamabad United’s Sahibzada Farhan and Peshawar Zalmi’s consistent performer Ali Raza also earned their spots based on impressive showings throughout the tournament.
Star performers and key selections
Batting stalwarts Fakhar Zaman, David Warner, James Vince, and emerging star Hassan Nawaz were recognized for their exceptional performances with the bat.
In the all-rounders’ category, Sikandar Raza, Faheem Ashraf, and Khushdil Shah were rewarded for their dual contributions with both bat and ball.
The bowling department includes a dynamic mix, featuring speedster Shaheen Afridi, experienced pacer Hassan Ali, and mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed — collectively forming a potent attack.
Lahore Qalandars clinch third PSL title
On Sunday, Lahore Qalandars captured their third PSL title in four seasons by defeating Quetta Gladiators by six wickets in the final held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Chasing a challenging 202-run target set by the Gladiators, the Qalandars crossed the finish line in the final over, losing just four wickets. The victory added to their previous PSL titles in 2022 and 2023, solidifying their dominance in recent seasons.
