Acting on medical advice, 30-year-old cricketer flies back to Bangladesh to begin recovery
Karachi Kings have been dealt a major blow just before the start of their Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 campaign, as wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das has been ruled out of the tournament due to a hand injury.
Team sources confirmed that the Bangladeshi cricketer suffered a hairline fracture in his right thumb during an intra-squad practice match held on Thursday. The injury occurred when a ball struck his hand, causing immediate discomfort.
Following medical evaluation, doctors have advised at least two weeks of rest, effectively ruling Litton out of the entire tournament. Acting on medical advice, the 30-year-old cricketer flew back to Bangladesh earlier today to begin his recovery.
Litton’s absence is a significant loss for Karachi Kings, especially with their opening match scheduled for today (April 12) against Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Known for his agility behind the stumps and aggressive stroke play, Litton was expected to be a key player for the side this season.
As of now, the franchise has not announced a replacement, but an official update is anticipated soon.
