Karachi Kings’ star fast bowler acknowledges team has undergone significant changes this year
Karachi Kings’ star fast bowler Hassan Ali expressed confidence in the team's prospects for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season, highlighting the fresh energy within the squad and his personal drive to make a meaningful impact.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Hassan Ali acknowledged that the team has undergone significant changes this year, but remains optimistic about positive results. “Many things are new at Karachi Kings this time, but hopefully the results will be good,” he said.
The experienced pacer, who has previously worked with bowling coach Shaun Tait, said that having both Tait and seasoned all-rounder Ravi Bopara in the setup will be a big plus for the team. “I’ve worked with Shaun Tait before, and having both him and Bopara with us will be of great benefit,” Hassan added.
In a bold statement, Hassan Ali said he believes the quality of the Pakistan Super League can attract global attention — even from fans of the Indian Premier League. “If we perform well, people will stop watching the IPL and turn their eyes toward us. PSL is our brand, and we want to take it to the top,” he said passionately.
Hassan emphasized that he aims to perform wherever it benefits the team most. “This PSL is very important for me. I want to perform in a way that helps the team. When the team doesn’t do well, it reflects poorly on the league as a whole,” he noted.
With several new faces in the Karachi Kings squad, Hassan admitted that building chemistry will take time. “When new players join a team, it naturally takes a while to gel and settle in,” he said.
