Reports indicate that WWE is considering a high-profile match between Orton and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania
WWE superstar Randy Orton is reportedly on track to make his return to the ring before WrestleMania 41, following a lengthy absence due to injury.
According to a report by PWInsider Elite, WWE officials expect Orton to be back in March, aligning his return with the company’s upcoming European tour, which is part of its annual "Road to WrestleMania" schedule.
The 14-time world champion has been out of action since November after sustaining a cervical cord neurapraxia during a match against Kevin Owens.
WWE later confirmed the injury, which occurred after Orton took a piledriver from Owens at Bash in Berlin. The setback kept "The Viper" on the sidelines for months, leaving his WrestleMania future in question.
If Orton returns as planned, he is expected to feature at WrestleMania 41, which will take place on April 19-20 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will mark his 19th appearance at WWE’s flagship event, placing him behind only Triple H (23) and The Undertaker (27) in all-time WrestleMania matches.
Reports indicate that WWE is considering a high-profile match between Orton and Kevin Owens at WrestleMania. Owens, who is currently scheduled to compete in an unsanctioned match against Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber, previously teamed up with Orton ahead of WrestleMania 40 to battle
The Bloodline.
However, Owens later turned on Orton at Bash in Berlin, leading to the latter’s injury and subsequent absence.
Since his debut at WrestleMania 20 in 2004, Orton has missed only two editions of the event—once in 2016 and again in 2023. If he makes his return as expected, he will once again feature in WWE’s biggest annual spectacle, further solidifying his reputation as one of the company’s premier superstars.
With Orton’s potential comeback, anticipation continues to build for WrestleMania 41, as WWE prepares for one of its most awaited events of the year.
