BCCI to comply with ICC’s regulations
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Wednesday that the Indian team’s jersey for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy would include Pakistan’s name.
Indian media reported that the jersey would display the ICC-approved logo of the tournament, aligning with the stipulations set by the governing body. The BCCI assured that all protocols mandated by the ICC would be adhered to by the Indian team for the event.
“The Indian team will strictly follow the guidelines issued by the ICC,” the BCCI stated in its clarification.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had also urged the ICC to enforce its policies uniformly, calling for the strict implementation of regulations concerning the BCCI.
The Champions Trophy is slated to happen from February 19.
