Former captain criticises PCB's team selection, management practices
Former Pakistan cricket captain Moin Khan highlighted the need for decisive actions to lift the national team from its current struggles.
Speaking at an event in Karachi on Thursday, Khan expressed disappointment over the team selection for the Champions Trophy, questioning the merit-based approach.
"The merit has nothing to do with it, but cricket is being run on the basis of friendships," Khan remarked. He went on to criticise the involvement of "non-technical people" within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), raising concerns about the quality of decisions being made.
Khan further pointed out the irony of the situation, stating, "Those who have been mentored by the PCB are criticising the team. The PCB should take action against the mentors."
His remarks were aimed at addressing the ongoing issues within the cricketing hierarchy and emphasised the need for a stronger, more effective management approach.
