Persistent rain abandons Pak vs Ban match; both teams exit winless

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain on Thursday, bringing a winless end to both teams’ campaigns.

Scheduled to take place at the National Bank Cricket Arena, the match was called off after continuous rainfall made play impossible, preventing even the toss from taking place.

Pakistan, who began their campaign against New Zealand on February 19, suffered a 60-run defeat despite a valiant 69-run knock from Khushdil Shah.

Against India in a must-win clash, they managed only 241 before being bowled out, which India chased down comfortably.

With no wins in the tournament, both Pakistan and Bangladesh finished at the bottom of the points table, marking a disappointing campaign for the hosts.
